A ‘Sea Shanty’. These were easy to learn work songs for onboard ship, which were  used when part of a crew needed to work in the same manual rhythm - typically hauling anchor or raising sails. These songs therefore tended to be 3/4 timing,  (1 prepare, 2 haul together, 3 re-grip on the rope). Miyo (make it your own)
